Second Steps - Women on Walks will meet on August 8 at 9:30 a.m. for a trip to McCoy Farm and Gardens on Signal Mountain. Meet in the parking lot at church to travel up to this beautiful area and enjoy the natural beauty around the walking trails and open spaces. Please contact Mary Lynn Morrison with questions.

August 9

The Presbyterian Women Summer Salad Gathering will take place August 9 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the home of Sandy Franklin. Bring your favorite salad or dessert and wear your favorite hat! Please contact Suzanne Rushworth for directions or more information.

Beginning July 9

Join us in the Elmore Room at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights beginning July 9 as we continue with Season 5 of The Chosen. Two episodes, each approximately 1 hour long, will be shown each week. The Chosen is a non-sentimental portrayal of the life of Jesus and the people who knew him as presented in the four Gospels. e series is faithful to the Gospels but also tells a story that goes beyond the scripture, using historical context to help viewers imagine what life was like with Jesus. Popcorn and drinks will be served.

August 10

On August 10, we’ll celebrate Christian Education at Second! Our CE teachers and volunteers will be recognized during worship, and information will be available about all of our CE classes. We’ll also enrich our service by singing some of our favorite hymns - come with suggestions and ready to sing!

August 23

All those interested in helping at FaithBuild with Habitat for Humanity are welcome to meet at the church on Saturday, August 23 at 8:30 a.m. - we will proceed to the Habitat for Humanity main office site, arriving by 9:00 for a morning project to fulfill our commitment. Closed toe shoes and casual work wear encouraged. No prior experience or heavy lifting required. Youth over 12 and adults are welcome. We should be finished by 12:30.

Make plans to join us August 24 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the Helwig Fellowship Hall for an evening of cool treats and fun fellowship. Sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board or email Claire in the office if you can bring a sweet treat, but come regardless of whether you bring something - we’ll have plenty!
