Our youth are such a blessing in the life of Second Church! Please support them on May 10 as they participate in many aspects of our worship service. It will be a wonderful morning, don’t miss it!

May 13 | 6:00 p.m.

Join us Wednesday night, May 13 at 6:00 p.m. for the showing of the movie 1776, a delightful musical celebration of the founding of the United States based on the award-winning Broadway production. Popcorn and drinks will be served. The movie is 2.5 hours long with a short intermission. This event and all America250 activities are sponsored by the CE Committee.

Come share a “pizza” your heart on Thursday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. as we gather for our final Dining Out together until the fall at Crust Pizza, 3211 Broad St., 37408. It is helpful to let Martin know if you're coming. If you would like to meet at the church and get a ride, let him know by noon the day of.

Please join us after worship on May 17 for a special lunch catered by Chipotle. We’ll celebrate the start of Pastor Cathy’s sabbatical and send her off with well wishes and blessings!

Giving to the PW Birthday Offering is a springtime tradition for Presbyterian Women. Grants from this offering have funded capital investments such as clean water projects, rural medical centers, prison ministries for women, shelters for children, and so much more. This year the grant recipients are the City Mission of Findlay (Ohio), and Haywood Christian Ministry in Waynesville, N.C. PW will collect the Birthday Offering during worship on May 17; please help support these important grants!

Guten Tag! Are you interested in learning German? Come join other learners as Carol Davis leads a bi-weekly class every other Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Elmore Room. All experience levels welcome!
