  • Dining Out + The Odyssey

    August 2

    Join us for an afternoon of epic proportions as we venture out for a special summer edition of Dining Out! We’ll head to 423 Taco at their new location across from Chili’s, and then walk over to the IMAX Theater for a showing of The Odyssey. Lunch will be immediately after church and we’ll walk to the IMAX at around 1:40 for a 2:15 showtime. Please purchase your tickets in advance through the Tennessee Aquarium website at tickets.tnaqua.org. Please contact Martin Davis or the church office with any questions.

  • Second Steps - Women on Walks

    August 14

    Come kick-off the 2026-27 Second Steps season with our first outing to McCoy Farm on Signal Mountain! Afterwards we’ll enjoy coffee and fellowship at Pruett’s Grocery Store.   • Welcome Back Pastor Cathy!

    August 16

    August 16 will be a special Sunday as we welcome Pastor Cathy back from her sabbatical! Irish band Pay the Reckoning will join us in worship for some special music, and afterwards we’ll enjoy lunch in the Helwig Fellowship Hall.

  • PW Summer Salad Gathering

    August 29

    The PW Summer Salad Gathering will take place August 29 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the home of Sandy Franklin. Bring your favorite salad or dessert and wear your favorite hat. Our service project is back to school items for the Northside Neighborhood House; a list of needed items will be available in the August newsletter. RSVP by August 26 to Sandy or Claire.

  • One Church One Book

    Kick-off July 12

    This year’s OCOB will feature The Greatest Sentence Ever Written, by Walter Isaacson, a fascinating deep dive into the creation of one of history’s most powerful sentences, the second sentence of the Declaration of Independence.

  • Young Adult Study Group

    Begins July 12

    All young adults of the church are invited to a new study group during the Sunday School hour on Sunday mornings. We are studying the book What Do We Do With the Bible by Richard Rohr. Meet in the library at 10:00 - coffee provided! Please see Emma Rees for more information.
